The Kansas City Campus for Animal Care (KCCAC), operated by KC Pet Project, is a thoughtfully designed facility that balances modern functionality with a welcoming atmosphere. The 54,000-square-foot space includes adoption areas, veterinary services, and community gathering spaces, all aimed at promoting animal welfare and public engagement. Longboard’s 4″ V-Groove planks in Light Cherry were used for soffits, feature walls, and accent cladding throughout key public and staff-accessible areas. These warm woodgrain elements provide a natural contrast to the building’s clean lines and extensive glazing, adding depth and texture to the architectural expression.
