Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
This provides transparent, third-party verified data on a product’s environmental impact across its entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to manufacturing, use, and end-of-life. EPDs also support green building certifications like LEED and help companies demonstrate accountability and progress toward lower-carbon, more sustainable construction practices.
Longboard Architectural Products are made of extruded aluminum and are salvageable/reusable in their entirety. Scrap cut-offs are melted back down and extruded again – creating very minimal waste. Our manufacturing processes are 100% Chrome-free and Longboard products give off zero emissions. We also capture and utilize rainwater in our 5-step pre-treatment process and all water being released back into the environment is clean and meets strict government regulations. Our aluminum is sourced from U.S.-based Alcoa, which utilizes hydro-electric power.
Longboard products have earned LEED credits for Construction Waste Management, Regional Materials, Durable Building, Low-Emitting Materials, and Innovation in Design.
