Project Details:
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida, seamlessly combines state-of-the-art oncology care with healing-focused design. A signature feature of the facility is the use of Longboard’s 6″ V‑Groove Tongue & Groove soffit and ceiling system, finished in Light National Walnut, which brings warmth, texture, and elegance to both the exterior entry canopy and select interior ceilings. The horizontally grooved planks introduce natural rhythm and visual cohesion that echo the curving motif inspired by the nearby St. John’s River, creating a calm and approachable façade. Inside, the walnut-toned T&G ceilings in patient corridors and gathering spaces not only enhance acoustics but also guide visitors through a serene, human-centered environment.
