The Missoula Montana Airport terminal features a façade that thoughtfully balances modern design with regional character. Expansive glazing floods the interior with natural light and offers sweeping views of the surrounding mountain landscape, while also supporting energy efficiency through solar control. To complement the sleek glass exterior, Longboard’s woodgrain 6″ V-Groove planks in Light Oak were used on the soffits beneath the terminal’s large entrance overhangs. These soffits introduce warmth and texture, creating a welcoming contrast to the structure’s contemporary lines. The result is an inviting and functional entranceway that reflects the natural beauty of Montana while enhancing the traveler experience.
