Quality Systems & LEED®
How We Support LEED®
(Leadership on Energy & Environmental Design)
LEED® provides a voluntary guideline for what constitutes a “green building”. Created by the U.S. Green Building Council, the LEED Green Building Rating System™ evaluates a building’s environmental performance from a “whole building” perspective over its entire life cycle.
Longboard has compiled and documented a complete list of applicable LEED v4.1 credits for both its interior as well as exterior systems and can be used as guidance to apply for LEED credits on building projects. Please consult our resources section or contact an account manager for more details.
Longboard is a certified AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 applicator and has adopted the AAMA 2604 performance standard as a minimum threshold for any of its exterior finishes and product offerings. The Longboard application facilities are regularly subjected to inspections and audits to ensure continuous compliance with these performance standards.
Longboard’s disciplined approach to powder coating, quality and process control distinguishes it as industry leading building product manufacturer. Longboard is in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification as a further step to demonstrate its commitment to superior and consistent product quality.
